Liposuction also referred to as lipoplasty and liposculpture, is surgery which breaks up and "sucks" the fat from all unwanted parts of the patient. Most commonly the abdomen, love handles, buttocks, thighs, neck, chin, upper and lower back, arms and calves. A cannula is inserted through a tiny incision where the fat is physically removed via a high-pressure vacuum.
